What is Naturopathy?
Naturopathy takes a holistic approach to health & wellbeing. My primary aim is to identify & treat the underlying cause of illness & dis-ease using nutrition, herbal medicines & lifestyle strategies.

Natural Healing
Naturopaths treat both chronic & acute conditions. These can range from chronic health conditions such as insomnia, fatigue, digestive complaints, some autoimmune conditions, skin disorders, & allergies, to acute conditions like the common cold.

The 6 principles of naturopathic care
- First, do no harm – the least invasive treatment options are used
- The healing power of nature – recognition of the body’s inherent ability to heal itself
- Identify and treat the cause – there is always an underlying cause, be it physical or emotional
- Treat the whole person – recognising the body as an integrated whole
- Naturopath as teacher – empowering patients to take responsibility for their own health, acknowledging the therapeutic value of the physician-patient relationship
- Prevention is better than cure – promotion of overall health, wellness and disease prevention
ABOUT ME
My interest in Naturopathy began during my pregnancy. I was a very small person and weighed only 48kg. I began losing more weight and was feeling very unwell when my Doctor told me it was morning sickness and to "have a nip of coke". My weight fell to 44kg and my coke consumption increased to around 1-2L per day. I was still unwell and losing weight and I knew in my heart this was not good for me or my baby - a friend stepped in and told me to go to her Naturopath.
Within two weeks of seeing the Naturopath, my weight began to move in the right direction, my "morning sickness" disappeared, and I felt amazing!!!! I breezed through the rest of my pregnancy and also had a natural drug free birth.
And so began my interest and curiosity in natural health.
WHAT DO I OFFER?
I'm a Bachelor qualified clinical Naturopath and my goal is to help you live your healthiest life by uncovering the cause and repair the imbalance. I want to teach you how to take care of your health so you don't need me anymore.
My passion is based on education and prevention and with the right knowledge around health and nutrition, I can support optimal health within the community. I do this by combining both traditional knowledge and evidence based research, so I can develop the best possible clinical outcomes for my clients. It's imperative that I stay up to date with current research by continuing my education, ensuring that I can offer the best quality practitioner support.
I offer consultations via telehealth as well as in clinic at Lowood Natural Therapies on Mondays and Saturdays.
